Holm G\u00f8gsig og Karoline Josefine G\u00f8gsig; gift 6\/10 1942 med Jenny G\u00f8gsig, f\u00f8dt N\u00f8rgaard Nielsen (f. 14. august 1919 i Halvrimmen). Jenny er datter af enel\u00e6rer S\u00f8ren Emanuel Marinus Nielsen og Hustru Marie Kirstine N\u00f8rgaard af Halvrimmen. Jenny og Svend fik 4 b\u00f8rn: Dorte, Mads og tvillingerne Hans og Peter. Peter d\u00f8de f\u00e5 dage efter f\u00f8dselen men blev dog d\u00f8bt p\u00e5 hospitalet.<\/p>\n<p>Svend blev opl\u00e6rt i faderens k\u00f8bmandsforretning i Tuen 1926-30, aftjent v\u00e6rnepligt 1933-34. Herefter var han kommis forskellige steder p\u00e5 egnen bl.a. i Tuen Brugsforening samt k\u00f8bmand J. P. Petersen&#8217;s Enke, Skagen, k\u00f8bmand, Hans Korsholm Jensen, Uggerby og k\u00f8bmand Chr. E. Larsen i, Halvrimmen.<\/p>\n<p>Umiddelbart efter Holm G\u00f8gsigs d\u00f8d i september 1942, etablerede Svend sig som selvst\u00e6ndig k\u00f8bmand. Jenny og Svend overtog Sindal K\u00f8bmandshandel, N\u00f8rregade 11, Sindal efter dav\u00e6rende k\u00f8bmand Michael Nielsen. Dygtigt bist\u00e5et af sin hustru arbejdede han forretningen op til et betydeligt omfang. En forretning med finere kolonial, delikatesser, vinhandel, isenkram og st\u00f8begods, korn og foderstoffer samt g\u00f8dning, br\u00e6ndsel og benzin.<\/p>\n<p>Da Jennys far l\u00e6rer Emanuel Nielsen, ikke l\u00e6ngere var skolel\u00e6rer skulle Marie og Emanuel flytte fra skolen. I den forbindelse fik Jenny og Svend et lille lysthus som Marie havde f\u00e5et bygget i skolehaven. S\u00f8ndag den 10. april 1949 blev lysthuset hentet i Halvrimmen og k\u00f8rt til Tversted p\u00e5 en ny erhvervet sommerhusgrund. Jenny og Svend var for f\u00f8rste gang p\u00e5 weekendtur i det nye sommerhus den 9. juli 1949. Emanuel Nielsen d\u00f8de den 12. januar 1952<\/p>\n<p>I 1947 deltog Svend i et skilteskrivningskursus, der var arrangeret af handelsministeriet. Efterf\u00f8lgende underviste han selv i skiltemaling, i den gl. pavillon i Sindal.<br \/>\nG\u00f8gsig var en \u00e5rr\u00e6kke med i bestyrelsen for k\u00f8bmandsforeningen hvor han var en markant personlighed, der var med. til at pr\u00e6ge foreningens m\u00f8der. Med sin s\u00e6rlige vendelbo-facon, som ogs\u00e5 kom til udtryk i hans meget personlige annoncering var han kendt og afholdt af b\u00e5de kunder og kolleger i Vendsyssel. Han form\u00e5ede s\u00e5ledes stadig at bevare den gamle, fornemme atmosf\u00e6re af rigtig k\u00f8bmandshandel.<\/p>\n<p>Svend har ogs\u00e5 taget sin, t\u00f8rn i Sindal H\u00e5ndv\u00e6rker- og Borgerforening.<br \/>\nHan deltog ogs\u00e5 med interesse i Sindal mandskor og det hyggelige samv\u00e6r der.<\/p>\n<p>Praktisk arbejde l\u00e5 ham ikke fjernt. I 1949 og de f\u00f8lgende \u00e5r udbyggede han et Lysthuset fra Halvrimmen der var flyttet til Tversted. Det blev forvandlet til meget hyggeligt sommerhus med stue, k\u00f8kken, toilet, pejsestue og et soverum med 6 k\u00f8jer. En faldef\u00e6rdig bygning i K\u00f8bmandsg\u00e5rden blev erstattet af 6 garager. Selve butikken blev udvidet og lejligheden ovenover blev moderniseret. Det grove arbejde blev udf\u00f8rt af h\u00e5ndv\u00e6rkere, resten lavede Svend selv, typisk om natten.<\/p>\n<p>Efter Svends d\u00f8d i 1982 drev Jenny en kort tid forretningen videre, hvorefter den blev overtaget af Niels Holt, der er en tidligere kommis i Sindal k\u00f8bmandshandel.<br \/>\nSindal K\u00f8bmandshandel blev Svend &amp; Jennys livsv\u00e6rk.<\/p>\n<p>I 1986 indgik arrang\u00f8rerne af \u201dPakhusudstillingen\u201d en aftale med enken fru Jenny G\u00f8gsig, der kvit og frit stillede \u201dG\u00f8gsigs Pakhus\u201d til r\u00e5dighed for kunstudstillingen. Senere blev \u201dG\u00f8gsigs Pakhus\u201d stykket fra Sindal K\u00f8bmandshandel og solgt til \u201dDen selvejende Institution G\u00f8gsigs Pakhus\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tekstforfatter: Mads Det blev bondemanden godt sur over og anmeldte far til politiet.
